Last Wednesday I went and test drove the Dodge Journey, but it was not the Journey we were going to buy. The one the salesmen had in mind for us was in Logan. I test drove, Brian was at work and would not be home until Monday, I filled out an application to get pre-approved and then went home. The car salesman said everything looked good and gave us a quote on the monthly payment. The payment was within our budget, we just wanted to think about it and wait until Brian came home. We thought about it all weekend and pulled out our lease agreement and read it. We had another 3 years on our lease. We decided we did not want to drive the Corolla for another 3 years and we might be expanding our family before then and we cannot possibly fit another car seat in the backseat.
On Monday afternoon we drove to the dealership and he showed us the exact numbers, we said okay, but we still had not even seen the car yet. The car was still in Logan waiting for new tires. Brian and I drove with the salesmen up to Logan to take it for a test drive. We liked it even more so we drove it back to Brigham City. We then finished all the paperwork and it was ours. It still did not have the tires so we had to wait until the next day to take it home. The dealership called the next day and we brought her home.
Why does buying a car have to be so stressful and annoying? I think I had a easier time buying our home then a car. Why do you always feel like you are being taken or if you are getting a good deal? Whats done is done now and we don't have a lease, that is the best part.
