Peanut Butter Bites

This is the perfect treat if you are in need of a chocolate peanut butter fix. All of the ingredients are always on hand and takes just a minute to whip up. I have been making these bites ever since I was a little girl. I remember my sister, Jennifer and I pulling out this little old cookbook and making these on a Sunday afternoon, we never dipped them in chocolate that is my newest twist on them. Also the old recipe called for an egg but I have decided to take that out and replace with a little milk, since I have little ones. Love them!

Peanut Butter Bites

2 1/2 cup powdered sugar

2/3 cup creamy peanut butter

1/2 tsp vanilla

1/8 tsp salt

1 Tbsp softened butter or margarine

Mix above ingredients then add a dab or so of milk and mix until smooth and can be rolled easily into balls.

Put bites onto cookie sheet lined with waxed paper, refrigerate until set. Enjoy

Or after they have set, melt 1/4 cup milk chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate chips in microwave for 30 seconds or until melted. Dip half of the bite in chocolate or roll the whole thing, place back onto cookie sheet and keep refrigerated.

Yummy, these look so classic and delicious.

I think I remember being allowed to make these as a kid, since there is no heat or knifes involved!
