Orange Jello & Pudding Salad

This recipe reminds me of Sunday dinner at my parents house. My mom would make a roast with mashed potatoes, gravey, vegetable and of course the jello. My mom always made sure at every Sunday dinner we would have some kind of jello. My mom would make this version sometimes and it grew to be my favorite. After I got married and moved out I was calling for this recipe to make for my family. This salad is great to take for potluck parties and the dish is always taken home empty. Enjoy!
Orange Jello & Pudding Dessert

1 small package orange jello
1 small package lemon cook and serve pudding
1 can mandarin oranges, drained
1-2 bananas cut into slices
1 8 oz carton whipped topping, thawed

In a large bowl combine orange jello and 1 3/4 cup boiling water; stir until dissolved.
Meanwhile prepare lemon pudding according to package directions.
While both are still hot pour pudding into jello and mix well, pour into 8 x 11 casserole dish or a 9 x 13 it will just be a bit thinner. Put in refrigerator until set. When ready to serve place mandarin oranges and bananas evenly over the jello. Then spread thawed whipped topping covering everything.
