New York Part 1

We just got back from New York/Washington DC last week and we had a blast. Me and the kids had never been to New York or DC so we were super excited. We were gone for 10 days and still was not able to fit everything in that we wanted to do. I guess we will just have to go back again someday.

Our hotel was really cool it was built in the 1920s and it was very Art Deco

Our hotel room was like a little apartment. We had a little kitchen, dining table and a separate room for our bed.

The first night we headed to Times Square, it was raining and we did not have an umbrella, but we didn't really care. The first place we stopped was M&M world. It was nuts in there and the music was so loud. We didn't really stay there very long, but it was cool.

We stopped in at the Times Square Information Center and they had displayed a New Years Eve Ball. There was music playing and Audrey had the urge to dance right there in front of this huge disco ball.

Next stop the Hershey Store. Heaven!

Aria got picked to help make some Hershey Kisses. Also this night we ate at the Times Square McDonald's and went to Toys R Us.

The next day.....was jam packed. We hit the streets like a true New Yorker, no cab, no bus, just our two feet. We walked the streets and took it all in. I couldn't believe all the cathedrals. You are walking along and then bam! there is a big church in the middle of the city.

One of the top things to do on Aria's list was to see the PLAZA. Aria loves the Eloise books and movies and had to visit the Plaza. She actually wanted to know if we could stay there and then I explained that one night would be the cost of our whole trip.

Oooooooooo I absolutely love the Plaza! They had a whole Eloise store that was fabulous.

Next was Central Park. This place is huge and we only made it about half way through. We also had our first New York hot dog in central park and chased the squirrels.

We then walked over to the Rockefeller Center and went to the Top of the Rock. We got to see a 360 view of New York and it was awesome.

After a long day of walking and sight seeing we stop and had a Mr. Softie Ice cream. Our first full day in New York was unforgettable!

To be continued.................

Wow! It looks like you had a ton of fun. New York is such an exciting place. Your girls are lucky to have experienced it at such a young age.
