The Big 6!

My oldest girl is now 6! Aria was so excited to turn 6. We start planning her Birthday months in advance because it is so close to Christmas, I like to have all the party goods bought so I am not running around over the holidays. This year Aria wanted the Wizard of Oz theme and I was wondering what kind of cake I could make. I thought it would be fun and easy to do cupcakes this year (recipe coming soon).
We ordered some Wizard Of Oz party favors over the Internet. Aria chose rainbow lollipops, Dorothy plates and ruby slippers filled with candy necklaces.

Since Aria's birthday was on a Sunday we had her party with our families the next day at the Boondocks they just built near our house. We bowled one game and then headed back to our house for cake and ice cream.

Aria had a great birthday. Aria is a wonderful, friendly, silly, creative girl. She is a joy in our lives and I could not imagine our family without her.
